As Horizons Partners co-founder, Paul is responsible for the technical and managerial expertise. He has played a leading role in the launching of more than 15 different railway projects across the Middle East and Asia/Pacific ranging from driverless metros to high-speed trains and heavy haul.

He has previously held several executive positions: advisor to the Board and CEO of Etihad Rail, Managing Director of Dubai Metro and of Makkah Metro, COO of Bangkok Transit System, General Manager of Kowloon Canton Railway Corp. and Head of Design Control & Communications at MTR Hong Kong…

Paul holds a MBA from La Trobe University (Australia) and professional certificates in Railway Signalling and Telecommunications.

As Horizons Partners co-founder, Alain is responsible for all business-related activities. He has managed more than 50 O&M tenders globally which generated more than $ 10 billion in revenues.

He worked previously with RATP Dev (Paris) where he served as Executive Vice-President of RATP Dev Paris for strategy and bidding and held other senior positions in leading operators in Germany and Central & Eastern Europe.

Alain holds a master of engineering from Ecole des Mines de Paris and is fluent in five languages.

Ian has over twenty years experience in designing Enterprise Architecture and innovative solutions and managing delivery across large transport organisations, including Etihad Rail, the Riyadh Metro and the Honolulu Rail Transit.
He worked previously as CIO of Etihad Rail and with Deloitte, Sapient, PwC Consulting and IBM Business Consulting Services in senior management consulting roles for 15+ years. Ian holds a BBA from Lancaster University (UK).

Ken has over 30 years’ experience working in leading railway organisations. He is an expert in operations and safety and has a deep understanding of the interface between maintenance and operations including safety assurance and asset management.
He led the development of the operational and rail safety documentation for several new railways across the Middle East, Australia and North America.

He worked previously in senior management positions in charge of safety and HSQE for Dubai Metro, Sydney Trains and Rail Corporation NSW.

David is a railway systems expert and a qualified trainer with over thirty years experience covering a broad range of transit systems of which signalling, controls and communications. He led the development of the asset management and maintenance documentation for several railways across Asia, the Middle East and North America.

He worked previously in senior design engineering and maintenance planning roles for Dubai Metro, Taiwan High Speed, Klang Valley MRT Malaysia, KCRC and MTR Hong Kong, Alcatel Canada…

Tricia is a highly experienced HR and learning & development manager with extensive knowledge of public transport. She designed and implemented successfully comprehensive training programmes for O&M teams across North America, the Middle East and Europe & UK, for large to medium size organisations. She developed and implemented innovative distant learning and E-learning solutions for multicultural and cross-disciplinary teams.

She worked previously in senior L&D roles for Etihad Rail Deutsche Bahn, National Express and many British operators.
She holds a MSc in Health , Safety and Risk Management and a BSc in Railway Operational Management and is a trained auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and IMS standards.
